Creative Arts Award Programme

Our Creative Arts Award Programme is an accredited creative qualification for young people who want to explore a range of artistic mediums.

Some examples of the arts forms which young people can specialise in for the Creative Arts Award Programme include art and design, music and media, drama and dance. By offering a youth arts centred programme, we provide an ideal opportunity to expand creative knowledge, build new skills and develop confidence when stepping into the creative industries.

Leigh Youth Hub offers both the Bronze and Silver Arts Award. Young people can join at whichever level suits their current skillset, experience and dedication. Each Award is flexible and personalised, allowing the participants to progress at their own pace.

The purpose of Arts Award is shaped entirely by the young people taking part. Participants set their own goals, challenges and creative pathways, developing both personal skills and their chosen artistic medium. Learn more about the qualification here: Arts Award

Our most recent cohort completed a range of exciting projects, including painting a mural in the Leigh Youth Hub common room. This artwork formed part of a young person’s leadership project and reflected the values and ethos behind the Youth Hub brand.

The Award is delivered through a combination of guided learning with our Youth and Community Worker, Hannah, alongside independent learning completed by the young people themselves. This balance helps participants grow creatively while building confidence.
