Leigh Youth Hub delivers Duke of Edinburgh Award!
Any young person can do their DofE, regardless of ability, gender, background or location. Achieving an Award isn’t a competition or about becoming first, it’s all about setting personal challenges and pushing your boundaries.
We currently offer Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award. (To enrol on the Bronze Award you need to be in Year 9)
What does the Bronze award contain?
DofE Bronze award involves helping the community and environment, becoming fitter, developing new skills, planning, training for and completing an expedition.
Through enrolling on a DofE programme young people have the opportunity to have fun, make new friends, improve their self-esteem and build confidence. They also gain essential skills and attributes for work and life such as resilience, problem-solving, team-working and communication.
Spaces are limited, there is a cost to undergoing the award and young people will be expected to meet at least once a month for approximately 7 months. To secure your space please email [email protected]
