Our Open Access Sessions provide a safe and inclusive space for all young people, completely free of charge.
Our Open Access sessions are open to all young people aged 11-18 and up to 25 with additional needs or disabilities. There’s so much to get involved in, from hair & beauty, music & karaoke, cooking, gaming, arts & crafts, gym access and more.
Our Open Access Sessions run every Thursday and Friday:
- 4:30pm-6:30pm (Year 7- Year 9)
- 6:30pm-8:30pm (Year 10+)
As Leigh Youth Hub was made by young people for young people, our sessions are young person led, providing crucial input from what new equipment they want, to what activities they want to see. These decisions are made by our young people who attend our sessions. If you want somewhere safe and fun to spend some time with your friends or make new ones, come down and see what we have to offer. There’s no need to pre-book, we just ask you fill in one of our membership forms.
Hub to Home
Our Hub to Home sessions run one Thursday a month in our Catering Suite. These sessions teach young people how to make healthy & nutritious meals step by step and then give them the ingredients and recipe to take home and share the skills with family and friends. This is essential for building life skills and ensuring young people are having access to healthy, nutritious meals! These sessions are for all abilities and knowledge levels, as they offer continued support young people.
MUGA Friday
Whether your a football pro or have never participated in football before, this session is for you. Every Friday in partnership with Leigh Sports Hub, we offer a football session on Leigh Sports Hub’s Multi Use Games Area as part of our Open Access provision, all free of charge. Young People can arrive at Leigh Youth Hub and be walked over to the MUGA with our team. This session takes place every Friday 5:30-6:30PM.
